GEOS hard drive image with joystick support -- October, 2019 For use with the Trackstar E and Trackstar Plus: Apple IIe clones on PC ISA cards For more disk images, visit... www.diskman.com/presents/trackstar Special thanks to Breadbox Software for releasing GEOS as freeware. GEOS is installed to the hard drive image file PRODOS.HD1 along with several productivity applications and some utilities. There's plenty of leftover space on the hard drive for your work and document files, and to install additional applications. To use: 1). Copy the PRODOS.HD1 file to the same directory as you have installed the Trackstar E software ( i.e. C:\STAR ). 2). Execute TSUTILIT.COM and choose "System Configuration" followed by "Configure the Disk Drives" to begin the disk drive selection process. 3). When you get to the options for Slot 7, Drive 1 (aka ProDOS volume), select "Drive C" followed by the "DO NOT RESIZE" option. DO NOT rename the PRODOS.HD1 file or it will not be discovered by the configuration program! 4). Save your settings and exit the program. Then, execute STAR.COM and choose to boot from PRODOS Volume-1. Et viol…, GEOS will boot! 5). Dismiss and ignore the warning message, "No interrupt source found." GEOS is pre-configured to use the Apple joystick connected to your Trackstar E or Plus. Alternatively, you may use keyboard commands. Enjoy! Notes: 1). GEOS is designed to run on monochrome displays. As the Trackstar E and Plus default to full color, you should press F2 after booting GEOS, to automatically switch the display to monochrome mode. 2). The AppleMouse is not compatible with the Trackstar E or Plus. You may not use the AppleMouse with GEOS or any other Apple II program.
